Kymar AS, a certified ABB Value Provider, has now become part of this with a long-term agreement for the recycling of electric motors with Stena Recycling. The company is a giant in the work of creating a circular society, with operations in eight countries and a network of 178 recycling facilities in Europe.
Electric motors consist largely of valuable raw materials, and recycling aluminum, copper and iron in itself provides energy savings of between 75 and 95 percent compared to new production of the metals from mining. – We currently collect approximately 30 tons of old equipment, but we expect increased demand for services such as recovery and recycling from the market, says CEO Ulf R. Pettersen of Kymar.
