A service team consists of ship electricians and electromechanical specialists. They bring in professionals from the workshops based on the customer's needs, the size and nature of the assignment. The team has specialist expertise in several fields and can, among other things, contribute with:

Ex inspections
We provide Ex inspections according to current ATEX requirements and EN 60079-17 for offshore, industrial and onshore installations. Our qualified inspectors ensure that electrical equipment in potentially explosive areas is correctly installed and maintained, contributing to safe operation and compliance with applicable regulations.

Condition monitoring of critical equipment
Kymar offers professional condition monitoring of electric motors, generators, gears and frequency converters. Our services help you detect potential problems early, reduce unplanned downtime and extend the life of your equipment.

Inspections, electrical measurements and vibration analyses
Kymar has its own team that performs vibration measurements and analyses within certification categories I, II and III. We also have personnel and equipment for electrical measurements on equipment, and our offshore team performs Ex inspections.
The use of frequency converters is increasing, which can cause current through the bearings and cause damage. At Kymar, we have the expertise to uncover and eliminate potential problems. Our brush department performs inspections and recommends solutions that will, among other things, reduce wear.
